Order of Merit
Order of Merit (OoM) is a season-long stableford quota competition open to all members of the RACDGNY community.
The season will run from March 29th - Nov 14th

You must have an Unknown Golf (UKG) account AND be a part of RACDGNY’s community on UKG. Join the UKG community HERE
There is NO SIGNUP DEADLINE. You can sign up and join OoM at any time throughout the year!
What is Order of Merit?
Order of Merit is a season-long stableford quota competition for the members of RACDGNY, which aims to identify the most consistently performing players over a full season. More info around the rules, format, and prizes can be found further down.
The primary function of Order of Merit is to enable members to play with each other. Reunite with old friends, make new ones, book a block of tee times, and play golf with each other! We encourage participation! Get involved!
The cost to participate is $10. You must have a UKG account and in the RACDGNY UKG community to participate. If you played in an event last year, you are already in the RACDGNY community. If you’re not in the RACDGNY community, join here http://ukg.golf/join/RACDGNYMetro.
What’s At Stake
Roost Regional Team Spot(s)
We will be using Order of Merit to build part of our Roost Regional Team. By playing consistent enough (or not as bad as everyone else) you can earn one of the spots on the team. More info on the number of qualifiers and how to qualify can be found below.
Our RACDGNY Roost team will compete in the Roost Regionals against other Northeastern Roosts for a chance to compete in the Roost Club Championship against other Roosts from across the country. If none of that made sense, you can find more info HERE

Format, Scoring & UKG overview
The scoring format for each round is Stableford Quota @ 95% handicaps. You can find more info about stableford quota scoring on the UKG event homepage HERE
Your season-long score will be a running average of your ‘score to quota’ from all rounds played. It helps to visualize a number line when thinking about averages of (+) and (-) numbers.
All rounds, scores, handicaps, and points will be tracked automatically using UKG
The player need ONLY INPUT THE FOLLOWING into UKG. NOTHING ELSE

Un-signed scorecards will automatically be posted 20 minutes after the 18th hole has been entered. If you have not fixed any errors, and the 20 minutes are up, your score will stand
Limit of ONE round per player, per week
‘1 week’ in OoM is considered Sunday – Saturday. Sunday being the 1st day of the week. All round scorecards must be signed and completed by EOD Saturday to be counted for a particular week.
OoM weeks 11-16 will be hereby known as The Herding (June 7th - July 18th)
During The Herding, points in the OoM competition will be weighted more greatly. Everything will be tracked automatically in UKG. This will help us identify players performing better in the weeks leading up to the Regional.
Official Rules, Eligibility, and FAQ
You MUST play your OoM round with another RACDGNY member as witness.
You MUST DECLARE each of your OoM rounds in the Discord channel before teeing off. Include the course you’re playing, and tag the other members you’re playing with.
We will be implementing Local rule E-5 for all lost balls or balls out of bounds. If you think a ball is lost, hit a provisional, or drop and hit 4 from the fairway. Please protect the field! Go by the TC way, use your best judgment and don’t be a scumbag.
All scores and points are to be tracked in UKG as outlined above. You must use UKG in order to participate in OoM.
You can play an OoM round simultaneously with a Match play round and/or a PGL match.
Rule 3 above should still be in effect for all OoM rounds regardless of the local rules set forth in individual matches.
9 hole rounds will not be counted for OoM. 2 separate 9 hole rounds do not count.
A limit of 1 round per player, per week. ‘1 week’ is considered Sunday to Saturday.
You must play a minimum of 5 rounds by July 18th to be eligible for the RACDGNY Roost Regional Team.
The top 2 players will be taken from the leaderboard to join the team.
You must be a member of NLU’s “The Nest” to play on the RACDGNY Roost Regional Team.
You must play a minimum of 10 rounds by the end of the season to be eligible for cash prizes.
All rules disputes will be handled by The Committee and our Head Rules Official, Nick Roden. When in doubt, play two balls and bring the scenario to the committee.
